Background: Göran Stig Ymer Sjostrom, a writer/editor, was son of Göran Sjostrom, CEO of Sjostrom Publishing, one of the most established publishing companies in North America and Europe. Stig's parents divorced when he was 14-years old. Stig then came to live with his father who moved to the United States. Broken-hearted by the divorce, Stig's mother fell into depression while caring for Stig's two younger siblings. Meanwhile, Stig questioned his father's newfound liberation and decided to reunite with his mother and siblings. Stig then went back home to Stockholm, Sweden where he lived until his father's recent death. Stig, being the eldest son, enherited his father's forture including the publishing company. Despite his resentment towards his father, Stig realized his responsibility with his family and his family's tradition. He must take over the company which was built on his father's and grandfather's sweat and blood. Taking the part as new president and primary shareholder of Sjostrom Publishing, Stig left his quiet life in Sweden and delved into the chaotic world of publishing where he learned his father's secrets including a town he thought only existed in books...
Personality: Stig is a quiet man. He is kind and giving but just like a calm river, Stig has deep, wild currents that could quickly surface if challenged. He is very close to his mother and has resentment towards his late father.
Stig enjoys being in the country with his family and often goes to his secret get-away by the lake in the country. Stig's passion are books, which he got from his late father who was an editor himself and an avid reader. Stig writes short stories, most geared towards children and young adults but his truly enjoy being an editor.
Stig likes to eat and is a big fan of espresso. He loves Italian food. He doesn't like chocolates. He loves his mother's cooking and often miss it when he's in New York. He cooks but doesn't do the dishes. (Stig doesn't like doing his laundry.) Stig travels home to Sweden on holidays, his mother's, siblings', and Isabel's birthday. Stig likes dogs but doesn't have a pet in NYC and Asher City because he doesn't think he can properly care for one due to his demanding job and excessive traveling.
Stig loves sex obviously and doesn't mind being dominated by a powerful woman once in a while. Stig is afraid to have kids of his own. Mainly because he thinks he'd turn out like his father. Stig's favorite season is the fall. He likes the rain and the change in colors.
Stig is a simple man and doesn't care much about the money he has. The thing he loves the most about being rich though is having his own plane and being able to go home to his family whenever he pleases.

Stig and his siblings inherited their father's business and fortune but since Stig was the oldest, he got the penthouse in Asher City where his father mostly lived after divorcing Stig's mother.
